Job Summary:
Founded in 1972, the Tourette Association of America (formerly known as the Tourette Syndrome Association) is the only national organization serving the community with a mission to provide help and hope to those affected by Tourette Syndrome, Tic Disorders and associated conditions through Awareness, Research, and Support. To this end, the TAA directs a network of 17 Chapters, 15 support groups and recognizes 28 Centers of Excellence across the country.
This position is responsible for developing and managing a nationwide individual giving portfolio to increase mission capacity by strengthening donor relationships and effectively communicating TAA’s programs, capabilities, and opportunities for engagement. Accountable for qualifying donor capacity up to $10,000 and implementing effective moves management strategies to strengthen relationships and increase donor investment over time.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Lead the strategy of an individual giving portfolio of $500k+ revenue, through solicitation, cultivation and stewardship of segmented donor portfolios.

Identify donors’ philanthropic interests, providing them with opportunities to engage and recognize an exceptional donor experience.

Serve as liaison between donors, prospective donors, and TAA leadership to ensure individuals are fully aware of and invested in TAA’s work while developing a meaningful relationship with the organization.

Continuously prospect and network to grow pipeline and portfolio while managing caseload activity and performance reports.

Utilize donor Database (Every Action) to effectively manage donor and volunteer relationships.

Develop and manage the development budget, ensuring that fundraising activities are efficient and cost-effective.

Analyze fundraising trends and results to continuously refine and improve strategies.

Coordinate with Marketing & Communications team to develop compelling messaging and materials for fundraising campaigns, including print, digital and social media.

Create and execute stewardship plan for donors to report impact related to organizational mission from secured donations.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree, with at least 7 years overall professional experience, preferably in fundraising or development with non-profits or a related field.

Strong relationship-builder with a proven ability to secure donations.

Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people across cultures, ethnic groups and identities.

Proven experience in developing and executing fundraising strategies for growth, especially for organizations at a similar stage of development.

Knowledge of best practices in nonprofit fundraising, including compliance and ethics related to charitable giving.

Superior level of interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.

Excellent user of office technology and information systems (including Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and Donor CRM Databases.

Organized, with experience in strategic and operational planning and budgeting.

Ability to travel throughout the country as needed and attend national conferences and events as needed – approximately 25% travel.
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
